The North Polars will look to defend their home court on Friday against the South St. Paul Packers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, North didn't have too much trouble with Hill-Murray at home as they won 67-50. The win was just what North needed coming off of a 68-39 loss in their prior match.
Brevin Conway continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Rodriguez, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, South St. Paul's 21-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They lost to Tartan at home by a decisive 68-54 margin on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, South St. Paul can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Tartan is ranked 24th).
The win got North back to even at 5-5-1. As for South St. Paul, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
North came up short against South St. Paul in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 84-78. Can North avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
