The Oxford Pirates will be playing at home against the Leicester Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Oxford can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 53-28 margin over Bartlett.
It was another big night for Robbie Fisher, who rushed for 124 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. Kellen Clarkson was another key contributor, rushing for 108 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Oxford's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Bartlett's QB won't forget Cody Huard anytime soon given Huard sacked him five times.
Meanwhile, Leicester got themselves on the board against Southbridge on Saturday, but Southbridge never followed suit. They breezed by the Pioneers at home to the tune of 41-0. The win made it back-to-back wins for Leicester.
Their wins bumped Oxford to 4-3 and Leicester to 2-5.
Everything went Oxford's way against Leicester in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as Oxford made off with a 41-21 win. Will Oxford repeat their success, or does Leicester have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
