Two dominant players in Leonardo Longino and Carlo Martinez are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Calexico Mission RoadRunners will be playing at home against the Julian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Calexico Mission has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Julian will arrive with four straight victories.
Last Thursday, Calexico Mission had to suffer through a rough 56-20 loss at the hands of San Pasqual Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Calexico Mission has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Leonardo Li, who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Julian didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Borrego Springs on Friday, but they still walked away with a 42-37 win.
Calexico Mission's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Julian, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Calexico Mission came up short against Julian in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, falling 50-40. Can Calexico Mission avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
