Montgomery waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Brenham Cubs by a score of 5-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Bears' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Wyatt Clewett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Clewett was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other pitching news, Hudson Brawner looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.
