On Tuesday, Arizona Cultural Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over New Way Learning Academy, taking the game 53-41.
Arizona Cultural Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mahdy Abdeljaber, who scored 17 points. Abdeljaber hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Salmaan Hashim, who scored 12 points.
Arizona Cultural Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for New Way Learning Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
Arizona Cultural Academy will head out on the road to challenge Tri-City Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tri-City Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Arizona Cultural Academy likes a good challenge. As for New Way Learning Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Academy with Community Partners at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Academy with Community Partners is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
