The Chino Cowboys lost against the Don Lugo Conquistadores back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Chino lost to Don Lugo on the road by a decisive 66-47 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Chino has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Chino still got an impressive performance from Shawn Jamison Jr, who scored 29 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 61.7% of Chino's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Christian Gibson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
Chino's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Don Lugo, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chino won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Montclair at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Don Lugo, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Baldwin Park at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. Baldwin Park is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
