On Thursday, Granger came up short against Texas Wind and fell 49-40.
Texas Wind's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Simeon Stegemoller, who scored 24 points. The contest was Stegemoller's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Bourland, who scored 15 points.
Granger's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Texas Wind, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Granger will face off against Vanguard College Prep at 7:40 p.m. on Thursday. Vanguard College Prep is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Texas Wind, they will square off against Itasca at 4:10 p.m. on Thursday. Itasca is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
