Davian Stephenson Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Chowchilla was led to victory by Davian Stephenson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Stephenson rushed for 290 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 87 yards and a touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (100.7) per game. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 66 yards.
Chowchilla pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Stephenson will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Minarets on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Talan Lamattina Leads Liberty over Minarets
Talan Lamattina produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Liberty to the win on Friday. Lamattina rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made 12 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Minarets had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Lamattina it was a similar story. When Lamattina last faced the Mustangs back in October of 2023, he rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.

Xaidyn Camacho Has Career Rushing Day
On Friday, Riverdale got the W thanks in part to Xaidyn Camacho playing the best football he has all season. Camacho rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 146 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Yosemite had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Camacho it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Camacho saw the Badgers), he rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 82 yards and a touchdown.

Fowler Gets a Boost from Smith in 55-29 Defeat
While Jerod "Bubba" Smith delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Fowler. Despite the loss, Smith was still balling out as he threw for 396 yards and four touchdowns.
Fowler's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. Smith and Fowler will head out on the road to face off against Riverdale at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Ethan Dunn Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Liberty got the W thanks in part to Ethan Dunn playing the best football he has all season. Dunn rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks and making four total tackles.
On the year, Dunn has run in 2 touchdowns while averaging 43.1 rushing yards per game.
