If The Tahoma Bears were riding high off their 47-0 takedown of the Kentridge Chargers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Tahoma was outmatched by Kennedy Catholic on the road and fell 58-14. Tahoma has struggled against Kennedy Catholic recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Tahoma had strong showings from Kage Repenn, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Roman Rough, who threw for 137 yards and a touchdown.
Kennedy Catholic was led to victory by Indiana Jones and Devon Forehand. Jones gained 178 total yards, while Forehand threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Joey Thomas iii also helped out with an impressive 100 receiving yards.
Tahoma now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Kennedy Catholic, their victory was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tahoma will take on Tumwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tumwater will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for Kennedy Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Rainier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Rainier will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Kennedy Catholic is ranked 21st).
