They blew past St. Joseph-by-the-Sea 36-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Moore Catholic, who have now won four matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Moore Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Richard Pacheco (RJ), who rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Pacheco (RJ) is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Thomas Zeh, who threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns while completing 79.2% of his passes.
Moore Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moore Catholic will take on Iona Prep at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Iona Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Moore Catholic in New York (Iona Prep is ranked fourth, while Moore Catholic is ranked 53rd). As for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. St. Michael Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. St. Michael Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
