Ryle extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 19-8-1 in the process. They came out on top against the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds by a score of 9-4. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Thoroughbreds, too.

As for Newport Central Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-13 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Newport Central Catholic's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eddie Bivens, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ryle will face off against Fairmont at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Newport Central Catholic, they will square off against Bellevue at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
