Baseball Recap: Triton Central's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Triton Central dropped their record down to 15-5 on Monday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They lost 7-1 to the Indianapolis Lutheran Saints. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saints earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Triton Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Riggins, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The result was nothing new for Indianapolis Lutheran, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

On Indianapolis Lutheran's side, Ryan Redding spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. Redding has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hudson Mills was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Nate Hughes was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
