Bandys has gone 8-2 against Bunker Hill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the Bears at 7:00 p.m. Bandys will be strutting in after a victory while Bunker Hill will be coming in after a loss.
Bandys will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Wednesday, then bounced right back against West Caldwell on Monday. The Trojans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors a 13-0 shutout. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Trojans' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Chase Welch looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Bandys hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Caldwell struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Bunker Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Newton-Conover. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by just one run.
Skyler Marlowe put in work no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Marlowe was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Bunker Hill's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 5-9 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Corey Canipe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Kamden Bortz was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Bandys' record is now 5-10. As for Bunker Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Bandys came out on top in a nail-biter against Bunker Hill when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
