Basketball Recap: Nevaeha Noguera Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Orange Glen

Rock Academy won the last time they faced Orange Glen and things went their way on Friday too. The Rock Academy Warriors came out on top against the Orange Glen Patriots by a score of 25-12. The 25-point effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Rock Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nevaeha Noguera, who posted six points and three steals. What's more, Noguera also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in January.

Rock Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Rock Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.5 points per game. As for Orange Glen, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Rock Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on High Tech CV at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
