While Blair didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Walter Johnson Wildcats on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 last Thursday.

Blair is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Walter Johnson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Walter Johnson will square off against Whitman on Wednesday. Blair will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' contest: after the Wildcats faces off against the Vikings, they'll take on Blair again at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
