It's playoff time, and Straughn had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victor by a 66-41 margin over the Pike County Bulldogs on Saturday. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Straughn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Presley Bates, who posted 14 points and seven boards. Blakeley Smith was another key player, putting up 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Straughn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The win was the ninth in a row for Straughn, bringing their record for this year to 17-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.1 points over those games. As for Pike County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Straughn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-42 victory against New Brockton on the 4th. Pike County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
