Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Northview walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Edgewood Mustangs on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on 21 straight.
Northview had a senior duo take command as Brinley Deakins had 19 digs and two aces and Carmen Briscoe had six digs and two aces. Deakins is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addi Dehart, who had 13 assists.
Northview was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edgewood only served six.
Northview's win bumped their record up to 28-5. As for Edgewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-16.
Northview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Tri-West Hendricks on the 25th. Edgewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
