Morse is a perfect 4-0 against Crawford since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Tigers will host the Colts at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Morse has four straight wins, Crawford has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Morse's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Bayfront Charter with a sharp 18-0 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

Reylyn Sakamoto made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off three triples, four runs, and one stolen base while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Morse let Camryn Salvador and Abby Okita run wild. Salvador went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Okita went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Salvador is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Lawrence, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Morse was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .652. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Crawford fell victim to Coronado and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 17-0 to the Islanders.
Morse pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Crawford, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
Everything went Morse's way against Crawford in their previous matchup back in June of 2021, as Morse made off with a 23-1 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
