If Gem State Adventist Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Vision, they should've done a better job of containing Raelynn Nickel. Vision blew past Gem State Adventist Academy 62-22 on Thursday for which the team can thank Nickel, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and 11 steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 32 times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Angel Gutierrez, who posted four points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game.

The win made it two in a row for Vision and bumps their season record up to 9-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-4 Gem State Adventist Academy and 5-8 Rimrock. As for Gem State Adventist Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Vision didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-24 defeat against Liberty Charter on the 10th. As for Gem State Adventist Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 45-21 loss against Rimrock on the 13th.
