On Saturday, the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs faced the Warren Central Warriors in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Franklin Community came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors and snuck past 62-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Micah Davis was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 40 points and 4 assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 20 or more points the last ten times he's played. Grant Hunter was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Franklin Community pushed their record up to 14-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Warren Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
Franklin Community will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Warren Central, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bruins at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
