Rancho Buena Vista posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Canyon Crest Academy 87-51 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-23.
Rancho Buena Vista found their leader in underclassman Cj Aldrich, who scored 34 points along with six assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aldrich has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shay Todd, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Vista entered their tilt with Victory Christian Academy with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Vista snuck past Victory Christian Academy with a 61-56 win on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Rancho Buena Vista has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Vista, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.
Rancho Buena Vista ended up a good deal behind Vista in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, losing 68-49. Can Rancho Buena Vista avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
