Sam Ross Turns in Season-Best Effort
Pepperell came up short on Friday despite Sam Ross delivering his best game to date. Ross rushed for 168 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 26 yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 60 yards.
Pepperell is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7. Ross and Pepperell will take on Model at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Underclassman Ethan Tisdale Major Player in Heard County Victory
While Friday's win was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Ethan Tisdale. He was unstoppable on Friday, rushing for 158 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 225 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes.
Temple had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Tisdale it was a similar story. Tisdale rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 79 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Tigers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Madoc Garcia posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 131 yards.
