Memorial is 0-1 against Denton since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Memorial Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Denton Broncos at 7:00 p.m. Memorial is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Memorial got themselves on the board against Independence, but Independence never followed suit. They breezed by the Knights at home to the tune of 48-0.
Meanwhile, even though Creekview scored an imposing 33 points on Friday, Denton still came out on top. Denton skirted past Creekview 36-33. The win made it back-to-back wins for Denton.
Jacobi Gladney continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 235 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. LaMarques Robinson and his 101 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Denton's win.
Their wins bumped Memorial to 1-7 and Denton to 3-4.
Memorial couldn't quite finish off Denton when the teams last played back in October of 2022 and fell 38-35. Thankfully for Memorial, Landan Coco brown (who rushed for 229 yards and four touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
