It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Duchesne and snuck past 45-43. The win was some much needed relief for Crimson Cliffs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crimson Cliffs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Summer Adams, who scored 13 points along with 6 steals. Jaynee Hahl was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Despite the loss, Duchesne had strong showings from Tenycia Torgerson, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds, and Taesha Moat, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chezney Farnsworth , who scored 7 points.
Crimson Cliffs' win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Duchesne, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Crimson Cliffs will face off against North Sanpete at 4:10 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (North Sanpete is ranked 73rd, while Crimson Cliffs is ranked 83rd). Duchesne will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Delta at 5:50 p.m. on December 1st.
