Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Gavin Roeker, who had 15 digs and two aces. What's more, he posted three assists, the most he's had over his last seven contests. Another player making a difference was Balin Sillence-Dhamrait, who had 16 assists and ten digs.
Meanwhile, Del Oro didn't have quite enough to beat Granite Bay on Monday and fell 3-2.
Del Oro took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-21, 25-27, 25-14, 15-12.
Whitney's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Del Oro, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.
