William Floyd has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Central Islip 59-30 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for William Floyd.
William Floyd can attribute much of their success to Kayla Gilmore, who scored 19 points along with five assists and five rebounds, and Jacqueline Sutherland, who scored 31 points along with seven steals. The contest was Gilmore's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Natalie Samlihan was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Longwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for William Floyd, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
