The Tennyson Lancers were the 26-6 winner over the James Logan Colts when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Tennyson took a serious blow against James Logan on Friday, falling 41-6. While losing is never fun, Tennyson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 587th, while James Logan is ranked 258th).
James Logan was led to victory by Danzel Mercado and Jonathan Craft. Mercado picked up 142 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Craft threw for 203 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes. Mercado's longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards.
Tennyson has fallen quite a ways from their 9-2 record last season and are now at 2-6. As for James Logan, the win was the fourth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tennyson will take on Moreau Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for James Logan, they will be playing at home against Bishop O'Dowd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
