Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carroll). They escaped with a win on Friday against the Rossville Hornets by the margin of a single free throw, 56-55. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Aiden Schaumburg and Brayden Thiele-Hahn certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Schaumburg shot 71% from the field on his way to 25 points, while Thiele-Hahn posted 16 points. The contest was Thiele-Hahn's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Dunn, who had four points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Carroll's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Rossville, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
