The Fulton Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Karns Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fulton is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Fulton made easy work of Gatlinburg-Pittman and carried off a 34-14 win.
Albert Johnson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 158 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also picking up 32 receiving yards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103.6 rushing yards per game. Fulton also got help from Derrick Smith, who showed off his sure hands for 116 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Karns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 35-0 to Heritage, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Even if they lost, Karns' defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. Leading the way was Aiden Meredith with two. Alex Idol was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Fulton's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Karns, they now also have a losing record at 2-3.
