The Dwyer Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Spanish River Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Dwyer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Spanish River will be up against a hot Dwyer team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand Leonard a 4-0 shutout on Thursday.
Kole Griffin made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. Griffin was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Logan Reed looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.
Back at the plate, Sully Smith was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Spanish River ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out American Heritage 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Sharks have posted since March 21, 2025.
Dylan Werblow tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Spanish River saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zack Schwartz, who went 1-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. Another was Roman Zabala, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases.
Dwyer's record is now 14-6. As for Spanish River, their record now sits at 6-14-1.
Spanish River's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Dwyer has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .431. It's a different story for Spanish River, though, as they've only averaged .343. Will they be able to contain Dwyer's hitters?
Dwyer couldn't quite get it done against Spanish River in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 6-3. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
