The Stone Tomcats lost against the Laurel Golden Tornadoes last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Stone was dealt a 49-2 loss at the hands of Laurel. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Stone has scored all season.
Laurel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kayllis Walker, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Walker hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Zy Evans, who scored 16 points.
Stone's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Laurel, the win (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 23-3.
Stone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Laurel also has no future games currently scheduled.
