Despite the defeat, Gananda Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cooper Grassel posted 25 points. Grassel's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Vogt, who had 14 points.
Alexander's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Gananda Central, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
