After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grandview, Lorena was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Godley Wildcats. With that victory, the Leopards brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.
Gabby Gomez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off 11 hits. Gomez was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
