After three games on the road, Leipsic is heading back home. The Leipsic Vikings and the Lincolnview Lancers will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, Leipsic strolled past Elmwood with points to spare, taking the game 67-49. Given Leipsic's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Elmwood is ranked 537th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Ty Lammers, who scored 17 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Leipsic's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce Brecht, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Lincolnview didn't have too much trouble with Continental on the road on Saturday as they won 58-41.
Leipsic pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Lincolnview, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2.
Everything went Leipsic's way against Lincolnview when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as Leipsic made off with a 67-46 victory. Does Leipsic have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lincolnview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
