Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Benbrook). Everything went their way against the Southwest Raiders on Friday as Benbrook made off with a 29-3 win. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Madison Canada was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in February. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Natalya Muzquiz was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Vasquez, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with six RBI, two triples, and three runs.
Benbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .878. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in 13 consecutive contests.
