There's no place like home for Cinco Ranch, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Tuesday. They blew past the Katy Taylor Mustangs 3-0 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-1  back in September.
 Cinco Ranch never let Katy Taylor on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17,  25-18.
 Reagan Petty paced Cinco Ranch's offense, picking up 12 kills. Petty got some help from  Reagan Tobeck and her 17 assists.  Emma Reed controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
 Katy Taylor's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Sydney Herleth, who  had 20  digs and three  assists. Herleth is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 11 or more in each of the last nine games she's  played.
Cinco Ranch is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-17 record  this season. As for Katy Taylor, their loss dropped their record down to 18-17.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cinco Ranch will  take on  rival Jordan  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Katy Taylor is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Seven Lakes  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
