The Centreville Academy Tigers entered their tilt with the Amite School Center Rebels with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Centreville Academy simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Amite School Center 40-6 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Centreville Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Centreville Academy found their leader in underclassman Parker Nettles, who threw for 177 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Centreville Academy's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-10 Amite School Center and 2-8 Cathedral (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 31.7% over those games). As for Amite School Center, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.
Centreville Academy will face off against Central Hinds Academy at TBD on Friday. Amite School Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
