The Elizabeth Minutemen's's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They snuck past Linden with a 56-51 win. For Elizabeth, this counts as revenge for the 68-54 defeat Linden walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Leading Elizabeth to victory were Cameron Mcrae and London Carson. Mcrae scored 17 points, while Carson scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The game was Carson's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Johnson, who scored eight points.
Elizabeth pushed their record up to 6-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Linden, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elizabeth will take on Newark Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Newark Tech's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Linden, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Plainfield at 7:00 p.m.
