The Grandview Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Rangeview by a score of 38-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Grandview has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Grandview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Riddick. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. Riddick also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Trevor Thomas was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Among those leading the charge was Elijah Denney, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenny Black-Knox, who scored three points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Grandview's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Rangeview, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Grandview will head out on the road to face off against Cherry Creek at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cherry Creek is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54 points per game. Rangeview will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Rocky Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on December 14th. Rocky Mountain will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Rangeview is ranked 117th).
