In what's become a running theme this season, the Blacksburg Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 66-34 win over Liberty at home. Winning may never get old, but Blacksburg sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
It was another big night for Shyrique Parker, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Blacksburg's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabella Foster, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Blacksburg's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-19.
Blacksburg will square off against Landrum at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Landrum knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Blacksburg likes a good challenge. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
