The Roy Royals suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They suffered a rough 54-29 loss at the hands of Bountiful. Roy has not had much luck with Bountiful recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Roy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ariana Strain. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points.
Milika Satuala was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and five assists for Bountiful. Another player making a difference was Taylor Harvey, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Roy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Bountiful, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roy will take on Box Elder at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Box Elder focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday. As for Bountiful, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Woods Cross at 5:15 p.m. Woods Cross has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
