Meanwhile, Collegedale Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Sunday after their tenth straight loss. They fell 57-45 to Shenandoah Valley Academy. While losing is never fun, Collegedale Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 359th in Tennessee, while Shenandoah Valley Academy is ranked 173rd in Virginia).
St. Andrews-Sewanee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Collegedale Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.
St. Andrews-Sewanee couldn't quite finish off Collegedale Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 and fell 44-42. Can St. Andrews-Sewanee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
