Mt. Zion won the last time they faced Warrensburg-Latham and things went their way on Saturday too. The Braves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Cardinals.

Kendall Smith paced Mt. Zion's offense, picking up eight kills. Smith really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. Finally, Gabby Wisher kept Mt. Zion's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Mt. Zion is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Warrensburg-Latham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.

Mt. Zion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against DeLand-Weldon on the 13th. As for Warrensburg-Latham, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Tri-City on the 13th.
