Dylan Young's Big Game Leads Hay Springs over Crawford
Starting off the list is Hay Springs's Dylan Young, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Young threw for 155 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced two fumbles, made 14 total tackles, and defended two passes.
The win for Hay Springs keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Young and Hay Springs will take on Cody-Kilgore on Friday.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Jack Hunter stepped things up a notch to give Sioux County the 'W'. Minatare had no answer to Hunter as he rushed for 152 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Hunter's longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Hunter must have Minatare's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Hunter last faced the Indians back in October of 2023, he rushed for 95 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries.

Tripp Buettner Turns in Season-Best Performance
Hay Springs was led to victory by Tripp Buettner, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Buettner rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 32 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making six total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Buettner and Hay Springs will head out on the road to take on Cody-Kilgore on Friday. The matchup will pit Buettner up against the Cowboys/Cowgirls' star rusher Brady Skinner. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

A Season-Best Performance from Hunter Mcdonald Leads Hay Springs over Crawford
On Friday, Hay Springs got the W thanks in part to Hunter McDonald playing the best football he has all season. McDonald picked up 107 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble, made 11 total tackles, and defended a pass.
This year, McDonald has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 32 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had two receiving touchdowns.
