The Troy Trojans lost against the Xenia Buccaneers back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Troy received a tough blow as they fell 52-34 to Xenia. Troy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Troy still got an impressive performance from Jadyn Almeida, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Troy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Xenia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Troy will be home for the holidays to greet Stebbins at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Xenia, they will head out on the road to face off against Butler at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Butler's defense has only allowed 26.7 points per game this season, so Xenia's offense will have their work cut out for Xenia.
