The Bullitt East Chargers will be home for the holidays to greet the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Bullitt East ended up a good deal behind Butler and lost 49-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bullitt East has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Madisonville-North Hopkins scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 71-64 win over Greenwood. The win was familiar territory for Madisonville-North Hopkins who now have three in a row.
Madisonville-North Hopkins' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Riley Sword, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Sword has scored at least 25% of Madisonville-North Hopkins' points. Nya Carney was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Bullitt East's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
