Baseball Recap: Miller School of Albemarle Snags 19th Win in Last 20 Games

Miller School of Albemarle won the last time they faced Blue Ridge and things went their way on Friday too. The Mavericks never let the Barons get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Mavericks, who have now won 15 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Caleb Crawford looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Connor Lockhart was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tristan McCracken, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Miller School of Albemarle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blue Ridge only posted an OBP of .391.

Miller School of Albemarle has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Blue Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
