Bossier extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 1 this week by beating Green Oaks, 47-24. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
North DeSoto took down Loyola College Prep 58-21 last week, the largest margin of any game.
North DeSoto's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Griffins feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Austin Simmons has thrown for 359 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Damien Boone has four catches for 200 yards. Aurren Cooksey leads the league in rushing with 877 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Griffins take on Bossier. North DeSoto has allowed 156 points this season, while Michael Concilio's team has given up 188. Scott Abernathy's team allowed 21 points last week as it beat the Flyers.
The Bearkats made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,384 from 4,853. The improvement was the result of 47-24 victory over the Giants last week.
