South Kitsap is 2-8 against Puyallup since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wolves will be playing at home against the Vikings at 3:30 p.m. South Kitsap is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: South Kitsap kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Puyallup brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over Curtis on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for Puyallup, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Ella Williams made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amori Hargrove, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Ringenbach, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
The win made it two in a row for South Kitsap and bumps their season record up to 6-7. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Puyallup, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-6.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. South Kitsap hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like Puyallup struggles in that department as they've averaged .361. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
South Kitsap came out on top in a nail-biter against Puyallup in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 9-8. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
