Hemet is 3-0 against La Sierra since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Hemet Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the La Sierra Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Hemet knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully La Sierra likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Hemet at home against Woodcrest Christian as the team secured a 71-36 win. With Hemet ahead 46-20 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Cruz Plascencia and Juaquin Martinez were among the main playmakers for Hemet as the former scored 24 points and the latter scored 28 points. The match was Martinez's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Quinton Skinner was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, La Sierra sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-50 win over Canyon Springs on Monday. The win made it back-to-back wins for La Sierra.
Their wins bumped Hemet to 7-2 and Woodcrest Christian to 5-3.
Hemet was able to grind out a solid victory over La Sierra when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 50-41. Does Hemet have another victory up their sleeve, or will La Sierra turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
